Canobie Lake Park
Auntie and I took Caroline and Liam to Canobie Lake Park for an end-of-summer vacation. Despite the heat, there were lots of laughs and great memories.
The Log Ride was a little intimidating to our fella, so we started out on the canoe ride instead. We told Liam to take Caroline with him when they went to stand in line, and the 2 of them ended up holding hands waiting in line. Sooo cute.

After the haunted house (which was almost the end of Diane--thank God Nancy agreed to wait in line IN THE SUN while Diane and the kids sat in the shade), we stopped at a kiddie ride with a very short line.

Liam and Auntie went to play the squirt guns while Caroline and Didi rode the carousel.
Finally, on to the infamous Boston Tea Party. Caroline had never been on this ride, so we were a little bit unsure of how she would react to getting soaking wet (the rest of us were looking forward to it!) We should have known she would love it as much as we did!

Visit to Griffins
It wouldn't be summer without a sleepover at the Griffins Cape house. This year, Auntie and the doggies came along. The doggies loved the yard, and slept great in the pool house. Both doggies were in love with DeeDee--they know who the leader of the pack is in this house!

We jumped in the pool as soon as we arrived, and swam all day Saturday, and again Sunday morning.
Will Charlie's shield protect him from Liam's squirt gun?
Willie and Auntie had a great squirt-gun fight...goggles make getting shot in the face not so bad!
Willie spent lots of time teaching Liam to swim without his noodle...we made big waves and Willie taught Liam to "bob" up and down and get his face wet.
The boys pushed their beds together so they could all sleep together. Charlie wore his Lightning McQueen PJs so he and Leerum could be twins.

Our fella is SIX years old! Kingergarten in a few weeks. Swimming the length of the pool without a noodle. And it's all about good guys & bad guys: Knights, pirates, soldiers, Indiana Jones, and Star Wars.
Caroline will play any game Liam wants, as long as he lets her play along!

For a little girl who loves Princesses, she sure can handle a sword!
Note his expression and her expression. Cuties!
Gretty!
A 550 piece Knights Castle!
Caroline knew Liam wouldn't like Princess stuff, so selected Star Wars guys instead. (And vetoed Auntie Shelly's Princess-Puzzle joke, too!)
Hi Auntie!
Hi Kit Kat!
DiDi said it was ok for me to eat her ice-cream cone.
Two ice cream cones for two beautiful girls. I think this photo is funny... clearly the adults adore the kids!
